‘Far’ is the keyword in that question. We all would want to go as far as possible on the road we choose to go right? But how? Most of us don’t know the answer to that question. We actually do know the answer. Due to the lack of requirements and blindness of seeing the need for making sacrifices we feel like we don’t know-how. Like everything, sometimes we need to break down the process to smaller pieces, so we can understand the whole better.
So in order to understand how far you will be able to go is, you need to look at yourself from 2 different angles. They are;
- Hard work and Discipline you are putting in While you are doing something you have to do:
This is for the long run of course. Don’t expect to be impatient and just hold a little while before you lose your resolve and say ‘I have tried and it didn't work.’ You can’t say that before you test your longevity in tough environments. It says a lot about your ambition and your hunger when you provide hard work and discipline in the unpleasant tasks or responsibilities you have to take care of which you are not particularly excited about or even maybe the role you currently in at your firm. This will increase your endurance, your patience, and push you to step up your game.
So if you are in one of those situations and if you can keep your discipline and hard work and positive attitude in though environments, be proud of yourself and keep pushing.
2. Determination and Creativity you are putting in while you are doing something you love to do:
This is fairly easy in comparison to the first scenario. Everyone could bring determination and be creative in the situations they love to be in right? Don’t be so sure. A lot of people lack determination and being creative takes more than just you think. Determination usually means a lot of sacrifices so make sure you understand that. One of my previous blogs I have explained about how to be creative actually. If you missed it, click here to read.
To persevere, you need to understand and analyze the situation you are in. So that you can strategize your game and understand the attributes you need to bring to the table. In my opinion; for those 2 scenarios, those are the concepts you need to focus on and provide in the long run.
I hope this helps. Don’t hesitate to ask me your questions.
